So I happened upon 270towin.com, and realized the President my have an easier row to hoe than I thought. Notice, that even if Romney took back Indiana and North Carolina, took all of Nebraska’s electoral votes (Obama picked 1 off in ‘08), and won Ohio, Virginia, and Florida; it still would not be enough for him to win. He still has to pick off another, presumably, smaller state. The best options for Romney appear to be Iowa and New Hampshire.
To summarize, the math is really tough for Romney. The above scenario has him winning back five states, two of which are traditional swing states. This above all, is why I’m hopeful for the President’s chances.

Great article about those early years. Aside from that first game, there was a lot of disappointment back then. I just think back at how that 05 season was supposed to be the year that we’d make the jump to the playoffs, and I get sick when I realize how that season really ended.
